In order to guarantee impeccable reliable performance (even with the new wider cassette ratios) plus precision shifting by the front and rear derailleurs the design of this 12 speed chain has entailed a tremendous amount of research and development by Campagnolo's R&D Engineers. The 12-speed chain needed to be as reliable and long-lasting as the 11-speed chain despite being narrower. The Super Record 12-speed chain is the lightest chain in the Campagnolo range with no reduction in durability efficiency or performance compared to its 11-speed counterpart. It fact its wear resistance is unsurpassed putting it at the pinnacle of the Campagnolo chain range.
